Plans and limits
What each plan allows, and what happens when you change.
What each plan includes
| Plan | Monitors | Extra regions | Status pages | Team members | Servers |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 20 | None | 1 | 1 | Not included |
| Starter | 50 | 2 | 3 | Unlimited | Not included |
| Pro | 150 | 9 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Not included |
| Business | 400 | 9 | Unlimited | Unlimited | 10 |
And how often checks can run, with how long results are kept:
| Plan | Fastest check interval | History kept |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 5 minutes | 7 days |
| Starter | 1 minute | 30 days |
| Pro | 30 seconds | 365 days |
| Business | 30 seconds | 730 days |
These tables are generated from the same plan records the application enforces, so they cannot drift from what you will actually be allowed to do.
Hitting a limit
Creating something past your plan's allowance is refused with a message saying which limit you reached. Nothing is silently dropped or created-but-disabled.
Paused monitors still count. Revoked servers do not.
Changing plan
Billing goes through Stripe. From Settings → Billing you can upgrade, downgrade or cancel, and reach the Stripe portal to change a card or get invoices.
An upgrade takes effect immediately.
Downgrading
Downgrades happen in the Stripe portal, so by the time we know about one it has already taken effect. If your monitors no longer fit the new plan, we adjust them and email you what we did.
If you have more monitors than the new plan includes, the most recently created ones are paused until you are inside the allowance. Nothing is deleted, ever. Older monitors keep running, on the assumption that something you set up a year ago matters more than something from last week — but that is only a guess, which is exactly why nothing is removed. Resume whichever you actually want and pause or delete the rest.
If any monitor checks faster than the new plan allows, its interval is slowed to the fastest that plan permits.
The same applies to a cancellation and to a failed payment, because both drop you to Free.
If you would rather choose yourself, do it before you downgrade: pause or delete down to the new plan's allowance first, and then nothing of ours will touch anything.
Upgrading again does not resume anything automatically — your paused monitors are still there, and you decide which come back.
Cancelling
Cancelling stops the subscription at the end of the paid period. Your data stays until the account is deleted — see your account.
